What began as a community celebration supporting breast cancer awareness and storm relief continues through meaningful outreach, practical assistance, and community partnerships.
Our inaugural celebration took place October 30, 2026, in Gary, Indiana. The event may have ended, but the mission continues.

Northwest Indiana households continue to absorb storm-related costs long after immediate food-replacement efforts and public giveaways end. Residents in Gary, Merrillville, and East Chicago have reported prolonged outages, spoiled food, temporary lodging costs, lost work time, and electrical repairs that may fall outside utility responsibility. By late October, many families may no longer be in the emergency news cycle, but they are still rebuilding.
Why Hope After the Storm
Hope After the Storm™ was created for a community that has weathered both literal and emotional storms. Our inaugural October 30, 2026, celebration brought people together to recognize breast cancer awareness, honor resilience, and support families recovering from storm-related hardships.
Through Patricia’s Garden of Hope Inc., that commitment continues beyond the celebration. We remain dedicated to providing practical assistance, meaningful connections, and compassionate support that help individuals and families move forward with dignity.
Garden Blessings: Practical Help With Dignity

From household necessities and personal care items to clothing, gift cards, and financial assistance, Garden Blessings provides meaningful support to individuals and families navigating difficult circumstances.
Every contribution represents more than an item. It is a reminder that someone cares, that no one should have to face life's storms alone, and that hope continues beyond a single event.
